About TKRP suspension
One of the most important components for a quick laptime is the suspension. Setting up the suspension in the right way is crucial for the feeling and the confidence of the rider. However, there is no point in setting up your suspension without getting it serviced in time.
So what can we do to make your bike perform optimally, suspension wise? On this page you get an insight in what kind of suspension services we offer, and what else keeps our suspension engineers busy!
Suspension service
There is no point in setting up your bike with suspension that is never getting serviced. In order to keep the bike stable and retain the most grip, the suspension is continuously in motion; and where there is motion, there is wear. Therefore, to keep your suspension reliable and in good condition, it is very important to service it at least once a year. Most of our customers choose to do this right before or right after the season.
Our suspension engineers are very experienced in servicing various suspension brands. With our long history in racing we have established lots of great contacts. Therefore we have direct access to various databanks and direct contact with the biggest suspension brands. We can service the suspension for all racing bikes, no matter the brand.

* price is excluding VAT and parts that need to be replaced/repaired. Also disassembly and installation of the suspension from/on the bike needs to be done by the customer.
Suspension development
In the past decades of racing we have raced with the the best suspension brands on the market, such as Öhlins, WP, Andreani and K-Tech. But Ten Kate would not be Ten Kate if we did not work together with these companies to develop their products even further and perform even better. That is why a Ten Kate version of a - for example Andreani - cartridge cannot be found anywhere else around the world.
But it does not always go as far as developing a completely new cartridge. For example we also continuously test with different shim stacks in rear shocks, so it suits a certain track the best. For this we have special machinery that makes it possible to test the suspension in several conditions and speeds, without actually having to take it on the track. This data is very valuable to be fully prepared for an upcoming race weekend.
Suspension adjustment
Adjustable suspension enables us to give a rider the feeling he needs to get around as quickly as possible. However, this expensive, high-end suspension is worthless if you are not using it correctly. If you are not sure how to set-up the suspension of your bike correctly, you might be interested in our annual suspension course (only in Dutch).
In our years of experience we have gathered a lot of information on suspension settings for different bikes on different tracks. This enables us to make a mostly very accurate first base set-up of a bike for a customer, so it only needs some finetuning to match the current track conditions.
