The launch of any new ‘R’ model has always been a game changing moment for Yamaha and the R9 is no different. This YZF-R9 used in World Supersport is built up with the high quality racing parts from the GYTR Phase 2 kit. Fully equipped to perform at the highest level by using the full racing line from Yamaha.
Please note: this motorcycle is fully equipped as used in World Supersport. The only parts which are taken off are the race electronics, the quick wheel change system and the rear shock.
A New Generation of Supersport Racing
The Yamaha YZF-R9 marks the beginning of a new chapter in Supersport racing. Developed around Yamaha’s latest generation three-cylinder platform, this race-specification R9 has been transformed into a dedicated NG Supersport machine, featuring high-end racing components selected for maximum performance, reliability and track capability.
At the heart of the bike is Yamaha’s proven CP3 engine, delivering strong torque and competitive performance throughout the rev range. Combined with a lightweight Deltabox-style aluminium frame and race-developed chassis setup, the R9 provides the balance of power, agility and stability required at World Supersport level.

The braking system is prepared for racing, with high-performance Brembo components, racing brake lines and competition-focused setup.
The bodywork follows the aggressive design of the R9 while being adapted for NG Supersport racing. Race fairings, aerodynamic components and lightweight parts help reduce weight while improving stability and performance at high speed.
