Racing motorcycles competitively on the highest level in the world is without a doubt a fantastic achievement; but doing so for 60 years is just legendary. To celebrate this Grand Prix milestone, Yamaha made a special livery that goes way back to their early days in the Grand Prix paddock. This livery is being used throughout the 2021 season on several occasions. Starting with the first announcement of the livery with Yamaha factory test rider Cal Crutchlow in Qatar. After that Yamaha announced a special 60th GP Anniversary Edition of the 2023 Yamaha YZF-R1, YZF-R7, YZF-R3 and the YZF-R125 road bikes. And now the factory teams in the WorldSBK and EWC paddocks appear in the red and white livery. For the base of the TKRP 60th Anniversary Special we chose the most extreme production bike Yamaha has ever built; the YZF-R1M. With its characteristic MotoGP derived 200 HP crossplane engine, the 1405 mm short wheelbase and a stock wet weight of under 200 kg, the YZF-R1M is surely one of the most impressive superbikes on the current market. However, Yamaha didn't stop there. The new R-design aerodynamic bodywork, Öhlins Electronic Racing Suspension (ERS), the new dashboard, the state-of-the-art electronics package including a six-axis IMU and an up-and down quickshifter are only a few of the outstanding features that make the YZF-R1M the most advanced superbike of all!

The YZF-R1M is completely race oriënted, but as it was designed to be used on the public roads as well, Yamaha had to pick the best of both worlds. The TKRP Yamaha YZF-R1M 60th GP Anniversary Special is solely for racing use, which makes it possible for us to do what we do best; building a real racing bike!

Building a racing bike starts with a plan. In this case the plan was simple: build a stunning bike that will bring the biggest smile on anyone who brings it on the track; and so we did. The bike was completely torn apart and built back up again with special parts and upgrades that we think would fit the plan. And so we fitted the following parts (among many other parts): 

• Motocarbons polyester fairings professionally painted with all stickers coated;
• Motoholders aluminum front fairing bracket with carbon fiber airduct;
• Motocarbons carbon fiber rear fender;
• Carbon fiber aerodynamic winglets;
• TKRP carbon fiber water/fuel catch tanks;
• Lightweight aluminum racing wheels;
• GYTR ECU & wire harness with I2M ABS eliminator;
• Brembo HPK GP4-RX radial front calipers;
• Brembo HPK 17RCS Corsa Corta brake m/c;
• Moto-Master T-Floater 6.0 brake discs;
• TKRP stainless steel brake lines;
• GYTR chain adjusters with underslung rear caliper kit;
• Gandini lightweight 520 sprockets;
• TKRP aluminum throttle housing with left & right button switches;
• Spider/TKRP rearset, handlebars, fuel cap, clutch lever & brake lever protection;
• Arrow Pro-Race exhaust system;
• Many Pro-Bolt parts;
