The R1 GYTR features the remarkable 998cc 4-cylinder CP4 crossplane engine which is a direct descendant of the MotoGP winning M1 race bike. Its uneven firing sequence delivers linear torque for outstanding performance and high levels of rear wheel traction – combined with its sophisticated GYTR programmable ECU – enables you to push even harder to the chequered flag.
Developed by Yamaha’s team of professional race technicians, the new R1 GYTR is a fully prepared track-only superbike that is supplied to you in a race-ready specification, through the GYTR PRO SHOPS. The YZF-R1 GYTR Race kit package is for the more advanced trackday rider or starting racers / racing teams. This package contains everything from the Trackday kit and much more! Highlights in this package are the GYTR kit electronics, which make it possibe to optimally tune the air/fuel ratio. Besides that it also enables you to set-up engine brake, pit limiter, traction control and anti-wheelie more to your specific desire. This package also contains a KYB front fork with Öhlins cartridge, a steering damper and a TTX GP rear shock absorber. The stock suspension on the R1 is good, but will be one of the first things a more advanced rider wants to change. The fully adjustable high-end Öhlins suspension in this package will definitely make you feel like you are on rails! With the GYTR Akrapovic trackday muffler, noise regulations are no problem for you. All parts in this package together make a bike that is ready to win the local championship!
